7.1 Notts & Derby propose. The Breed Education Co Ordinator shall serve a 3-year term, shall be elected at the first Ordinary Meeting of the Council of the appropriate year. The Breed Education Co Ordinator preceding this election shall remain in office until the end of that Meeting. The Breed Education Co-ordinator for SBT’S shall be invited to attend Council Meetings as an Observer (The three-year period would fall in line with the current term which the KCBLO is in situ and whose new term of office will commence in January 2019 therefore the current BEC term of office would stand until December 2021)

8. Public Relations Officer

Is there a need for the Public Relations Officer?

(At the last meeting there were no nominations for PRO within the Council members and therefore the future role needs to be discussed. In view of Social Media, the Internet any news and issues is usually dealt with before the next Breed Council meeting, and out of date, the Press (if any) tend to contact the relevant breed clubs for information and the public can obtain any breed specific information via the social platform or the internet)

The Council would also need to consider should the PRO be from a Club who is a Council member or as we had earlier this year a nomination following the last meeting in April, from a Club who were not members of the Breed Council.
