RESULTS OF THE

SOCIETY OPEN SHOW

Held on Sunday 12th June 2022

at

Bletchingley Village Hall

Bletchingley, Surrey

A very enjoyable show at a very light and airy venue. The show attracted a decent entry for the two judges and we were also joined by a good number of spectators which made for a good atmosphere and a warm reception of the judges decisions.

On speaking to both Clare & Kaine after the event both informed us that they had a very enjoyable day and thanked the Society for their respective appointments and hospitality.

Although as a Society we only have a small committee who work hard to make the show a success we are also lucky and would like to thank the small band of helpers who always come along and help.

We would also like to thank our sponsors Primal Raw for their continued support and also to those individuals that sponsored the Best Of and Class Rosettes. We are now planning the Society's Championship Show for November, so any offers of rosette sponsorship or special prizes would be gratefully accepted.

Special Awards Classes

Judge. Mr. Kaine Davis (Sharmara)

Many thanks to the club for inviting me to judge the Special Award Classes at the show, I was made feel very welcome by all the committee members and officers of the society.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time judging and I had a lovely selection of dogs to go over. My opinion is just that and I am sure that places will change throughout the year. Some dogs lost out purely down to me not being able to assess confirmation and movement. The atmosphere around the ring was great and everyone seemed to take my decisions sportingly.

Thank you to my two stewards Gina Jones and Charlotte Burton for keeping everything running smoothly throughout my time judging, I really appreciated it.

Special Puppy Dog/Bitch: (5)

1st Hammystaff Love Bomb

White and red pied bitch with the most beautiful expression, neat ears which she uses to her advantage, dark round eyes, good skull to muzzle ratio, correct bite and a good underjaw. She has a wide front and straight, well boned legs on neat tight feet. Short neck to well laid back shoulders, good spring to her ribs and plenty depth of brisket, short and compact in the back, level topline, with good developing hindquarters, good bend of stifle and well let down hocks, she moved well from all angles, carrying her tail correctly. She seemed to be really enjoying her day! Look forward to seeing her in the future.

2nd Maxstaff Miss Vivienne

Red bitch, similar attributes of 1st pleasing head shape of correct proportions, dark round eyes, correct bite and underjaw, straight well boned front, level topline and enough rib for her age. Nicely developing hindquarters, moved well, slightly longer in back than first which lost her the class today.

Special Post Graduate Dog/Bitch: (10)

1st Raynstaff Old Fashioned

Black/Brindle dog with a lovely head piece, not overdone at all, broad and deep through, neat ears, dark round eyes, cheek bumps developing nicely, correct bite and enough underjaw. He has a well boned and straight front on good pasterns and neat well padded feet. He has a short neck leading to well laid back shoulders and good angulations throughout. Good spring of rib with a good depth of brisket and a level topline, he is short in the back and has a good bend of stifle and well let down hocks. Moved parallel and with drive. One to watch in the future.

2nd Rowenda Lady Demelza

A lovely standard black/brindle bitch, lovely head and expression, good skull to muzzle ratio, dark round eyes, great cheek bumps, good width of chest and a straight well boned front, and neat feet. She has a short muscular neck, level topline and short compact body, muscular hindquarters with a good bend of stifle and well let down hocks. Moved with drive up and down the ring.

Special Open Dog/Bitch: (7, 1abs)

1st On The Hill Two at Tidestaff

A beautifully balanced brindle bitch, neatest of ears, round dark eyes, good length of muzzle, pronounced cheek bumps with a correct bite and underjaw. She has a muscular straight, well boned front, short neck leading to good shoulders, level topline, good rib and depth of brisket. She has a good back end and solid hindquarters. She moved with power and drive when viewed from all angles, carrying her tail low.

2nd Labrastaf Magma at Haidastaff

Brindle dog, nice head shape of correct proportions, dark eyes and good cheek bumps, correct bite and underjaw. He has a straight well boned front on neat, well padded feet.
