Todays 2 Judges Natalie Moorcroft & Nicole Clark receiving their thank you gift from the Chairman Glynis Yuill
I would like to express my thanks to the Southern Counties SBT Society for inviting me to judge their Summer Open Show which was my second breed club show. It was great to judge a show where it all started for me as this was one of my first open shows I attended. My thanks goes to my two stewards Kim and Kevin for the smooth and efficient running of the ring. Biggest thanks goes to everyone for entering under me for my opinion which on the day were taken in a sporting manor all very much appreciated. I throughly enjoyed the day it was a bit warm but all dogs and handlers did an amazing job. I haven’t mentioned mouths in my critiques because there were no major dental issues to address and observed no breathing issues on the day.

Special Awards Classes Judge – Nicole Clark
I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge, it was a huge honour and absolute privilege to judge these special award classes. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, when judging I was overly pleased with the condition and health of the dogs. I would also like to thank the spectators for entering under me and giving me the opportunity to assess their dogs, with the weather being so hot all the dogs coped with the heat fantastically.
Class A - Puppy Dog or Bitch
1st - 7- Birmingham's Inspector Blake
What a handsome red and white dog at 10 months old with a strong round shape head, neat rose ears, clean lipped, plenty of muzzle, correct scissor bite with a black mask and very good pigmentation. He is maturing nicely with a good front, plenty of bone for his age. Its nice to see a pup being a pup in the ring, he took it all in his stride and moved well for his handler and was enjoying himself. I look forward to watching this one mature.
Class B - Post Graduate Dog or Bitch
1st – 24 - Jones Rougestaff Red Velvet JW A lovely red bitch with white chest, good pigmentation throughout, dark eyes, neat set ears, black mask and correct scissor bite. A very balanced girl in great condition, with a good bend of stifle, tidy tuck up, level topline, she moved very well. She caught my eye throughout the class, her feminine smile and expression, chest puffed up and alertness which demanded my attention throughout the class.
2nd – 14 - Dyer's Engladian I've Got Class
A very pretty black brindle bitch with white chest, distinct stop, correct scissor bite with a strong but feminine head. This girl is in excellent fitness condition, well sprung ribs, level topline with a tidy tuck up and well-padded feet. She moved with ease for her handler, it was a close call with my first place as they are both in fantastic condition and both have great virtues, placings could easily change between these two.
Class C - Open Dog or Bitch
1st - 26 - Knight's Kalostaff Dark Knight. A standard sized boy black brindle boy with white socks, clean headshape, good length of muzzle and correct scissor bite. He is well balanced with no exaggerations throughout and a level topline. He has a good bend of stifle and well-muscled with strong hindquarters. A credit to his owners, he moved with ease down the ring. 2nd– 10 - Buchan's Happystaff Kisses of Fire. A tidy black brindle bitch with a nice round headshape, distinct stop, good ear set with a good clean front and well-padded feet. Unfortunately, I was unable to access her fully as she was a little unsettled although once she moved and got into her stride she moved well for her owner and has a good level topline.
