Welcome to the Southern Counties Staffordshire Bull Terrier Society Website
The society was founded in 1937 with the aim to promote the Staffordshire Bull Terrier in the Southern Counties of England and now covers London and the Home Counties of England.
On this site, you will find information on our three breed conformation shows per year and events that the Society is holding as well as links to other breed clubs. You will also find results from recent shows, seminars, and health and welfare information to be aware of when owning a staffordshire bull terrier.
Your local breed club is a great point of contact if you're looking to get yourself a Stafford and would welcome you to get in touch when you are starting your search to ensure we can put you in touch with reputable breeders that breed health tested and well-raised puppies.
We have a regularly updated Facebook Group, that you are welcome to join and keep up to date on what's happening in the stafford world.
Hello everyone.
We sincerely appreciate everyone who joined our recent Spring Open Show held on Sunday 22nd March 2026. With a respectable turnout of 58 entries, the event also received strong support from spectators. Judge Georgia Kirk shared that she had an enjoyable experience and was grateful for how participants accepted her decisions.
The Society Chairlady, Glynis Yuill, presented the Annual Awards during the lunch break, and it was wonderful to witness the trophy winners receiving heartfelt congratulations. You can view the complete list of winners on the website.
The Annual General Meeting of the Society was held after the show and was attended by 20 members. Mrs Glynis Yuill was elected President, Mr Joe Samby Chairman, Mrs Gina Jones Vice-Chair and Mrs Charlotte Burton Show Manager. The Committee remains the same with the addition of Mr Mick & Mrs Julie Harvey who have joined us.
The next event will be the Open Show being held on Sunday 31st May at our usual venue of Navestock Village Hall, Navestock Side, Brentwood, Essex CM14 5SD. The Judges on the day will be Kerry Daly-Lees (Boscador) & Spec Awards Simon Green.
